The Most Beautiful Hotels in Paris
Shangri-La Paris
Shangri-La Paris is quite possibly one of the most romantic hotels in the entire city. Housed inside the former palace residence of Prince Roland Bonaparte, the hotel effortlessly blends historic grandeur with the polished luxury Shangri-La is known for.
Everywhere you look, there are grand marble staircases, sparkling chandeliers, intricate detailing and elegant salons, yet it doesn’t feel like a museum; it feels warm and intimate – thanks to the Shangri-La’s friendly and welcoming team who immediately made me feel at home, even when I felt like I was cosplaying as royalty.
I stayed in one of the Eiffel View Rooms, and waking up each morning to the Iron Lady standing directly outside my window felt like I was still dreaming. My god, she’s a beauty, and the airy French windows perfectly frame the Eiffel Tower like a postcard. The rooms themselves are beautifully refined, with subtle chinoiserie touches, plush king-sized beds and marble bathrooms featuring heated floors, a deep soaking tub and Guerlain toiletries.
The wellness area is another huge highlight. Shangri-La Paris is home to one of the largest hotel swimming pools in Paris, stretching 17 metres beneath a beautifully designed spa space bathed in natural light. I spent my afternoons lounging beside the pool, half-dozing off to the sound of gently rippling water in the background (the ultimate ASMR). There’s also a sauna, steam room and fitness centre if you’re feeling more energetic than I was.
Breakfast here was genuinely exceptional and easily one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had in Paris. Guests can choose between French and Chinese breakfast options, alongside both buffet selections and à la carte dishes. I highly recommend ordering the signature waffles, and during my stay, the staff would come around with trays of freshly baked madeleines that were still warm and perfectly fluffy. Dangerous, frankly.
I also had the pleasure of dining at Maison Roland, the hotel’s newly reimagined restaurant named after Prince Roland Bonaparte himself. Set beside a rose garden with Eiffel Tower views, the menu reimagines classic Parisian bistro dining with elevated touches, and I absolutely loved the buttery sole and lobster Thermidor. Surprisingly though, the standout dish for me ended up being the gazpacho, which I normally would never order, but it was so fresh and flavourful that I’m still thinking about it.
And while I honestly struggled to leave the hotel most days, you’re also brilliantly placed for exploring Paris. The Trocadéro is just a short stroll away from Shangri-La Paris for those additional Eiffel Tower viewpoints, while Palais de Tokyo and several museums and galleries are all within easy walking distance too.
Brach Paris
Brach Paris feels less like a hotel and more like a luxurious urban resort hidden away in the city. Once I checked in, I genuinely didn’t want to leave. Everything you could need is right at your fingertips, from a huge sports club-style gym and an impressive spa with a 22-metre swimming pool, sauna and steam room, to multiple dining spaces, a bakery, cocktail bar and even an in-house barber and salon.
I was lucky enough to stay in one of the Henri Suites, which featured a huge wraparound terrace with a private Norwegian wood hot tub overlooking Paris’ most iconic landmark. The rooms and suites are filled with playful prints, antique objects and art books, all tied together with fluted glass, warm wooden furniture and contrasting textiles.
Le Restaurant serves Mediterranean dishes with an Oriental twist, full of fresh, sun-drenched flavours, while the first-floor terrace bar is the perfect spot to unwind with Alpine wines and beautifully plated antipasti.
The real standout at Brach, though, is the rooftop bar, La Villa Minuty, which boasts unreal views of the Eiffel Tower. Open during the warmer months, the rooftop channels the feeling of the French Riviera, with rosé flowing, sprawling sofas and a very glamorous Provençal apéritif atmosphere.
Location-wise, Brach sits in the 16th arrondissement, which is definitely quieter and more residential compared to areas like Le Marais or Saint-Germain. If your priority is ticking off tourist attractions from sunrise to sunset, it may feel slightly removed. But personally? As an interior design lover, I completely fell in love with the hotel itself.
Between the earthy interiors and the exceptional wellness facilities, Brach really became the destination for me rather than just somewhere to catch some Z’s. I would recommend staying at Brach with your other half. It’s the perfect hotel for couples who are mostly looking to enjoy each other’s company in luxury settings rather than ticking off a jam-packed itinerary – and with a hot tub with Eiffel Tower views, why would you want to leave?
Hyatt Paris Madeleine
Hyatt Paris Madeleine perfectly captures that timeless, elegant version of Paris you imagine before visiting the city for the first time. Tucked between Opéra Garnier and the Champs-Élysées, this five-star hotel combines classic Parisian luxury with genuinely warm service that makes you feel instantly welcome from the second you check in.
Speaking of check-in, I arrived to champagne, chocolates and freshly baked madeleines waiting in my room, which was the most Parisian welcome imaginable. I stayed in one of the Eiffel Tower view suites, and watching the Iron Lady sparkling in the distance from my balcony each evening never got old. Between the soft neutral interiors, oversized bed and those dreamy rooftop views across Paris, it felt oh so romantic.
One of the biggest highlights for me at Hyatt Paris Madeleine was the food. I lost count of how many meals I ate at La Chinoiserie, the hotel’s beautiful on-site restaurant serving refined modern French cuisine by Chef Sébastien. Everything I ordered was exceptional, both visually and taste-wise.
But let’s speak about the in-room breakfast! To this day, it’s still one of the most beautifully presented hotel breakfasts I’ve ever experienced, tied only with Andaz Prague (another Hyatt property). Silver trays, perfectly plated waffles, flaky pastries, fresh fruit and coffee enjoyed with Eiffel Tower views from bed… it was always TOO perfect, if that’s even possible!
The hotel itself has a very classic, polished feel throughout, with opulent interiors, elegant lounges and that understated luxury Paris does so well. Despite being in such a central location, Hyatt Paris Madeleine still felt calm and was the perfect retreat after long days exploring the city.
The Lander
The Lander is a collection of incredibly chic and ultra-luxurious apartments in Paris. These spacious apartments have the added comfort of a world-class hotel experience, including daily serviced cleans and the bonus of a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and a clothes washing machine, which makes both short and longer stays in Paris more comfortable.
All of The Lander apartments have prime locations, whether you want to stay within walking distance to iconic landmarks, such as the Eiffel Tower or the Louvre, or close to Paris’ luxury designer shopping boutiques on the Champs-Élysées.
I stayed in the Cézanne apartment, which was designed in homage to the French painter by the same name. This breathtaking two-bedroom space features dramatic high ceilings and big windows, along with beautifully designed arch openings throughout.
There’s a bright lounge area with a separate kitchen and dining nook perfect for a home-cooked meal and a glass of champagne. Each bedroom has its own en suite, with rainfall showers, Rituals bath products and gorgeous marble designs.
My stay at The Lander couldn’t be more perfect. Every detail was considered down to the bowl of chocolates & sweets on my nightstands (most luxury hotels even miss this!). They even offer a personalised concierge service, which I took full advantage of to get a reservation at a restaurant in Paris that had been on my bucket list forever but was fully booked out online.
Hôtel Marignan Champs-Élysées
Hotel Marignan Champs-Élysées is one of those hotels that delivers exactly what people dream Paris will feel like. Think Eiffel Tower views from bed, champagne on a private terrace and waking up in one of the city’s most glamorous neighbourhoods with designer boutiques and Parisian cafés right on your doorstep.
Located in the 8th arrondissement just off the Champs-Élysées, this luxury five-star hotel is incredibly well-positioned for exploring the city, especially if it’s your first time visiting Paris. You’re within a 15-minute walk of iconic landmarks like the Arc de Triomphe and a quick 10-minute taxi to the Eiffel Tower. You’ll be surrounded by luxury shopping, restaurants and cocktail bars, plus the nearest metro station is only a two-minute walk away, making it ridiculously easy to get around.
I stayed in the Marignan Eiffel Suite, which spans a huge 77 square metres and feels more like a luxury Parisian apartment than a hotel room. The private terrace boasts one of the best Eiffel Tower views I’ve experienced in Paris, and there’s genuinely nothing more romantic than sipping champagne with the tower sparkling outside your window at night or standing out there in a bathrobe with a morning coffee.
Inside, the suite features a spacious living area, a large marble bathroom with a deep freestanding bathtub and an enormous walk-in wardrobe that could comfortably house an entire Fashion Week wardrobe. The interiors strike that perfect balance between modern luxury and classic Parisian elegance, with soft neutral tones, sleek finishes and floor-to-ceiling windows flooding the space with light.
Hotel Marignan Champs-Élysées is absolutely the kind of hotel I’d recommend for a honeymoon, anniversary trip or birthday celebration.
Grands Boulevards Experimental
Tucked away in Paris’ 2nd arrondissement, Grands Boulevards Experimental flawlessly combines modern Pinterest-worthy interiors while paying homage to its rich history. Housed inside a building erected shortly before the French Revolution, the hotel feels quiet and away from the commotion while still being surrounded by bars, boutiques and hip restaurants.
I stayed in the “Parisian Eaves” suite on the top floor, featuring rich jewel-toned navy walls, original Parisian eaves, and a huge canopy bed fit for a king (or queen!). Every detail felt thoughtfully considered, but the hero feature was undoubtedly the standout pink bathroom (which made me squeal with excitement when I first saw it), complete with red marble, gold accents and double sinks.
The focus here is definitely on good food, great atmosphere and lively drinks. Make sure to visit The Shed rooftop terrace and The Shell downstairs, where cocktails from the Experimental Cocktail Club helped spark the rebirth of Parisian cocktail culture. The complimentary breakfast was another highlight, featuring homemade cakes and jams, artisan cheeses, freshly baked breads and excellent organic coffee made to order.
Just a 15-minute walk from the Louvre, Grands Boulevards Experimental is a fantastic choice for travellers looking for a stylish boutique hotel with plenty of character. Rooms are also surprisingly spacious by Paris standards, making it excellent value for money in the French capital.
HIGHSTAY
My weekend stay in Paris with HIGHSTAY was the perfect middle ground between staying in a luxury hotel and having your own impossibly chic Parisian apartment. On my recent trip to Paris, I stayed in one of the newly launched Vintimille apartments in the 9th arrondissement, designed by French interior designer Chloé Nègre.
The interiors are bold yet cosy, blending contemporary design with mid-century influences through textured wallpaper, rich wood panelling, sculptural furniture, velvet sofas and beautifully veined marble finishes.
The standout feature in the ‘La Suite’ apartment for me was the view of Sacré-Cœur, perfectly framed through a charming oval-shaped œil-de-bœuf window that looked like a living painting. The apartment also has several small terraces overlooking the rooftops of Paris, making it the dream setting for slow mornings with a coffee or evenings spent drinking wine while the city lights twinkle below.
Inside my apartment at HIGHSTAY Vintimille, there was a fully equipped chef-style kitchen with bespoke cabinetry, a dining space and a cosy lounge area centred around a fireplace nook. The bathroom deserves its own moment too, with a deep freestanding soaking tub positioned beside the window, a large rainfall shower and Aesop toiletries that made the whole experience feel extra luxurious.
HIGHSTAY has apartments across some of the best neighbourhoods in Paris, including Le Marais, Invalides and near iconic landmarks like the Champs-Élysées, Louvre-Rivoli, the Eiffel Tower and Rue Saint-Honoré. HIGHSTAY Vintimille was the perfect place for me – within walking distance of Montmartre, the Moulin Rouge and multiple metro stations, which made it easy to explore Paris.
I also loved that at HIGHSTAY you still get all the perks of a boutique hotel stay – daily housekeeping, concierge service, breakfast baskets on demand and 24/7 assistance – but with the privacy and comfort of a beautifully designed apartment. C’est magnifique!
La Maison Favart
La Maison Favart is one of the oldest hotels in Paris, dating back to 1824. Full of fascinating history and inspired by the famous Favart couple, the hotel has a wonderfully warm and intimate atmosphere that feels worlds away from the bustle of the city outside.
Located on the peaceful Rue de Marivaux, you’re just a 10-minute walk from the Louvre and only moments from the Opéra Garnier and Galeries Lafayette. The hotel’s 39 rooms are beautifully decorated with 18th-century Parisian textiles and finishes, and I stayed in one of the Deluxe Rooms called ‘La lecon de danse’ (the dance lesson), where the walls were covered in pink Toile de Jouy fabric and elegant period-inspired details.
The standout feature of my room was the bathroom, featuring marble finishes, a deep bathtub with rainfall shower, heated towel rails and quite possibly the comfiest hotel slippers I’ve ever worn. The service here was really exceptional, too. Nothing was ever an issue for the staff; in fact, they kindly helped me fix my suitcase after it broke at the train station, and the personalised concierge service is available 24/7.
Guests also have access to a wellness area with a fitness room, sauna and relaxation bath, while breakfast is served in a beautiful pastel-coloured parlour. La Maison Favart is a lovely choice for a first trip to Paris. With its romantic history, gorgeous interiors and fantastic location, you really can’t go wrong!
