1. 🚫 Don’t just visit Phuket and the infamous Bangla Road. ⁣
✅ INSTEAD, I recommend visiting Chiang Mai, Koh Samui and Krabi, as well as taking some time to properly explore Bangkok – it’s one of my favourite cities in the world! Thailand isn’t just about full moon parties and getting pissed. It’s such a diverse country and there is so much natural beauty waiting to be explored, from the tropical jungles and wildlife in the north, the bustling and vibrant cities, as well as the sleepy islands in the south.⁣

2. 🚫 Don’t waste your time buying a physical SIM card.⁣

3. 🚫 Don’t forget to always have cash on you!⁣
✅ INSTEAD, withdraw a chunk of Thai baht in Bangkok or larger cities. Surprisingly lot of the bars and restaurants we went to in Thailand did not have eftpos machines – so make sure to have some Thai baht on hand to pay the bill. Obviously, most of the street food markets don’t take cards either and I recommend always tipping at least 10 to 20% to give to restaurant staff, housekeeping and to your tour guides when you go on boat trips… even when you pay for activities in advance, tips are always greatly appreciated in Thailand and go a long way. ⁣

Just kidding, I’m not even engaged 😅 however I did recently stay at this beautiful honeymoon-worthy hotel in Koh Samui. ⁣

Located on the southwestern tip of Koh Samui, this resort has everything you need for a romantic and relaxing getaway. With three restaurants to dine at, a secluded white sand beach that’s only available for guests, a gym with ocean views, a karaoke room (!), a cafe to grab an iced matcha from and an amazing spa boasting amazing views and services.⁣
